Hatari (the Swahili word for “danger”) is a revolutionary new category of alcoholic spirit made from 12 indigenous African widely known throughout Sub-Saharan Africa for possessing a variety of desriable properties and is “The Spirit of the Motherland.”

Why We are Different

By offering unique and bold local flavour profiles as well as by using botanicals known for their aphrodisiac qualities, we want to be “The Spirit of the Motherland” creating an entirely new product category in the alcoholic spirits market with the aim of building a worldwide perception of linking Hatari with Africa in a similar way that vodka might be associated with Russia or whiskey might be associated with Scotland and Ireland.
We aim to evoke the spirit of the motherland by enlisting fresh and forward thinking; emphasising, accentuating and embracing originality and ‘the peculiar’, which will be seen through our marketing.

To grow a revolutionary African alcoholic spirit with the aim of being known worldwide as “The Spirit of the Motherland” and being seen as being a leading African lifestyle brand.
